We not only provide venture capital but also offer mentorship and a Silicon Valley network of leading founders, operators and VCs. HIVE Ventures is a Hirair and Anna Hovnanian Foundation Initiative.

Meet Our Team
Edele Hovnanian
Edele Hovnanian is founder and benefactor of HIVE Ventures. She is currently the President of H. Hovnanian Industries, a diversified real estate company on the East Coast, and the Hirair and Anna Hovnanian Foundation. Edele manages a billion dollar portfolio of assets controlled by her family office and oversees the operations and grant awarding within the Foundation, which includes a number of non-profit operating entities owned by the Foundation, including HIVE. Edele’s prior professional career was as an investment banker. She graduated from the University of Pennsylvania with a BS and BA and Columbia University with an MBA. 
Nina Achadjian
Nina is a Partner at Index Ventures where she focuses on venture and growth investments in enterprise and is particularly excited about vertical SaaS. Previously, Nina was an FP&A Lead for Google's AdSense team where she managed a multi-billion dollar book of business covering Amazon, IAC, and eBay. Nina started her career as a high yield bond trader at Citigroup. She graduated from Harvard University with a B.A. in Government and is a recipient of the Michael C. Rockefeller Scholarship. Nina has been a part of the HIVE team since the beginning and enjoys mentoring Armenian startups.
Alex Kablanian
Alex is the Chief of Staff to the CEO of ServiceTitan, an Armenian-founded vertical SaaS business that builds software for Home & Commercial trades businesses to manage their operations end-to-end.
Prior to ServiceTitan, Alex worked at Apple, where he spent time in Retail Strategy after completing a company-wide business rotational
program, with stints on Apple’s Corporate
Development, Worldwide Sales, Corporate FP&A & Operations teams.
Alex graduated from the University of Southern California’s Marshall School of
Business with a B.S. in Business Administration and a Minor in Computer Science.
Upon graduation, Alex spent 6 months living in Armenia, working for the Central Bank
of Armenia. He maintains a strong connection to the country & visits Yerevan multiple times a year, for both personal and professional reasons.
David Mkrtchian
David Mkrtchian is Director of Special Projects at Tanium, a cybersecurity company. In that role, he has helped inform strategic efforts ranging corporate development to GTM strategy to technical talent acquisition.
Prior to joining Tanium, David was a management consultant for the Boston Consulting Group focusing on TMT and cybersecurity.
David holds a B.A. in Economics and Legal Studies from U.C. Berkeley and graduated Phi Beta Kappa. In his free time, he enjoys barbecuing with friends and family.
